#365Insects 46: #Pentaria trifasciata (Melsheimer, 1845)

When I’m preparing these posts, I’ll usually check a few books, browse Google Scholar, or hunt for interesting natural history tidbits on BugGuide to share with the photos. For this species however, I couldn’t find anything *at all* besides its name being dropped in a few survey projects and catalogues. Here is a species for which we know absolutely nothing about, even though we’ve known it exists for 170 years. Somebody should probably try and fix that. (at University of Guelph)
