#365Insects 28: #Pnigalio maculipes (Crawford, 1913)
Parasitoids of other parasitoids, this species is apparently a generalist, and able to develop inside the larvae of beetles, moths, other wasps, and flies, all of which themselves live inside various plants. I wouldn’t be surprised if additional research finds Pnigalio maculipes is in fact several cryptic species masquerading as one, but only time and taxonomy will tell. (at University of Guelph)
